Mahmood Ali
Chairman of the Board of Trustees

Mr. Ali is an eminent advocate with about 3 decades of experience in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Ali is also a committed philanthropist. His desire to give back to society is reflected in his involvement in several projects aimed at promoting educational, employment and economic opportunities for the lower strata of society.

He has personally initiated several projects to help the poor and needy. He is also involved in projects to promote education and opportunities for lawyers.

Rahul Luther
Founder & Executive Trustee

Mr. Luther is a graduate in English Literature, Philosophy and Psychology. He worked for about 25 years in the corporate sector before joining the social service sector.

He has over a decade's experience in addiction treatment. He established the first care-&-support facility for people affected by HIV/AIDS in Andhra Pradesh as well as the first rehabilitation Center for addictions in the state.

He is also the former Director of an international agency (MIIDRI) focusing on HIV/AIDS, working in the rural areas.
He publishes articles in leading national publications, speaks on national radio and TV as well as lectures extensively on the subject of addiction.

Dr. Murlidhar Gupta, MS
Trustee

He has held senior positions in the medical field, including as Director of Medical Insurance Services and Professor of Surgery of major medical facilities. He was also Superintendent of ESI Hospital.

Dr. Gupta has received several prestigious awards including from Rotary Foundation, USA. He is life member of the Indian Medical Association and is actively involved in various charitable associations and institutions.

Narendra Luther
Trustee

Mr. Luther retired from the Indian Administrative Service in 1991 after a long and distinguished career that included several important positions in India and overseas.

He has received several prestigious awards, citations and scholarships. He has been on the Board of many corporate's and was retained as a consultant by international majors like Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young.

Mr. Luther is also a successful author and historian, with more than a dozen books to his credit. He has scripted and produced film documentaries, including one that won the 'Golden Aster' award. He is a regular contributor to several publications and broadcasts over radio.

He is involved in several charitable, cultural and literary organizations. He is widely traveled abroad and lectures frequently at important institutions.

Rajeshwari Luther
Co- Founder & Director

Ms. Luther is a post-graduate in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, MA in Sociology and BSC (Hons.) from University of Delhi.

She has had a multi-faceted career in hospital management, training and human resource development with reputed medical institutions and multinational organizations.

She is a certified lead auditor in ISO 9000 systems, a life member of the National HRD Network, and lectures frequently at institutions and interacts with media on the subject of substance abuse. She is also a member of an ethical committee which scrutinizes bio-equivalence studies of pharma companies.

Ms. Luther oversees all operations and projects of Hope Trust.

Dr. Vijay Seshadri, MD

Dr. Seshadri is a well known psychiatrist and has extensive experience with addiction and related issues such as dual diagnosis and withdrawal management.

All clients are assessed on admission by Dr. Seshadri for psychiatric issues and he oversees the withdrawal management. His has had significant success in management of clients with co-occurring disorders.

Dr. Seshadri is also a Consultant Psychiatrist at Care Hospitals and other leading institutes and is a co-investigator in research projects being conducted in the community.

He has been associated with Hope Trust since 2005. He is also the Psychiatry Coordinator of Arel Hope Recovery Services Private Limited – an associate of Hope Trust.
